Workshop for evaluating rice varieties took place in Hoa Phu Rice variety Centre, Long An Province which ogranized by Long An Agricultural Extension Centre on 06^th September 2017. There were the attendance of 25 leaders from the university, institutes and the local agricultural extension centres evaluated 12 new rice varieties which provided by Prof. Nguyen Thi Lang which works at High Agricultural Technology Research Institute for Mekong Delta (HATRI). The purpose of the workshop was to discuss and look for high yield rice varieties as well adapting the local climate, in addition selecting the best rice varieties in the set of rice varieties. Result had three selected rice varieties in Summer-Autumn Crop included LN6, LN 8 and LN2. In the workshop, Ms. Cuc, Deputy of Director of Long An Agricultural Extension Centre concluded basing on the evaluation of Winter-Spring crop of 2016-2017, these were good in the yield, and combined both two crops (winter-spring and summer-autumn), the centre intended for the internal assay: LN6, LN4, LN7 AND LN2.
