The morning of 7 June 2019 workshop evaluated new rice varieties in wet season 2019 by the Institute of agricultural research of high technology for the MDR (HATRI) held with over 56 officers from the participating provinces. The Conference aims to evaluate and select rice varieties for the wet season 201 9 in preparation for the 2019 -2020 Dry season rice varieties; facilitate the cooperation in the community of the rice plant. At the same time share a common vision and passion for the work of rice varieties, a platform to exchange ideas and initiatives for cooperation in the coming time. The workshop introduced the scientific talks highlighted the achievements of rice varieties developed from the the Institute of agricultural research of high technology for the MDR (HATRI) on rice, as well as new products and technologies are expected to help achieve progress in agricultural fields in rice.The participation of the leaders, the Department of agriculture, Department of science of the Mekong Delta provinces, the scientists and the local farmers can tho city. The workshop featured scientific talks that highlighted the achievements of HATRI, as well as new products and technologies that are expected to help achieve progress in the agricultural sector. Attended by leading genetic scientists and researchers in plant research, the workshop was an effective platform to update stakeholders about innovations in their fields of specialization. Pro Dr. NTLang, Director of the Institute of agricultural research of high technology for the MDR (HATRI) guide the delegates. As part of the activity, delegates visited field of HATRI at Binh Thuy Can Tho. The delegates toured the HATRI fields and demonstration site where they learned about the recently released sality tolerant variety.

During the tour, Dr. NTLang demonstrated the results of adaptive-research on use of different biological control agents and basic integrated pest management. She also guided the delegates through a participatory experimental site on these technologies. The speakers at the workshop were very interesting talked about the new rice varieties that can help farmers increase the production.In discussing the Scientific Director in Long An, An Giang, Vinh Long, Can Tho will selected some lines will apply for farmers.

Prof Nguyen thi Lang awnsers for Vinh Long Province: HATRI seeks to improve the nutrition and health of rice farmers and consumers in a number of ways. Through improving the nutritional content of milled rice (biofortification with pro-vitamin A, iron and zinc), enhancing the health impact of rice consumption through changes in glycemic index such as HATRI 11 or increased anti-oxidants, improving the safety of rice by reducing the risk of heavy metal contamination, as well as strongly supporting dietary diversification in rice-based agricultural systems and She had promised to help the local demand in the coming period and will contribute quality rice industry of the country. For Long An, HATRI will proviced two new Sticky rice such as: HATRI 4 Nep and HATRI 11 Nep For Long An.
For An Giang HATRI will provide Jasmine 85 for An Giang.
