In Can tho, on 24 November 2017, Can Tho Agriculture Department was organized a workshop "Developing High-tech Agriculture: Opportunities and Challenges" with participants of more 150 scientific staffs of the Mekong Delta provinces. The workshop aims "Developing high-tech agriculture: challenges and opportunities" in the framework of the Vietnamese international agriculture Expo 2017 held in Cantho City was an occasion to the experts, scientists, businesses, representative organisations and employees discussed to clearly identify these opportunities and challenges, the subjective and objective causes, the limitations in the development of high technology in agriculture of the MEKONG DELTA region in particular and Vietnam in general. From that gave the practical solutions to overcome and resolve effectively the difficulties to successfully implement high-tech agriculture, contributing to sustainable agricultural development. During the workshop, there are 7 topics which reported and each topics was targeted to a very specific content. Based on the topics that scientists discussed in the future. The High Agricultural Technology Research Institute for Mekong delta Vietnam(HATRI) presented Prof Nguyen Thi Lang report with title “RESEARCH AND APPLICATION OF HIGH TECHNOLOGY IN AGRICULTURE IN THE MEKONG DELTA ".
