Study of the interaction genotype and environment of salinity tolerance in rice at Mekong delta

Abstract
The experiment comprised of 14 lines were laid out in a randomized block design replicated three times at 14 different locations at Dong Xuan and HeThu season from Mekong delta. Analysis of variance indicated the presence of significant genetic variability among the genotypes for chalkiness under all the 6location. All analysies of variance for chalkiness that were pooled over the six locations. Genotypes x Enviroment (GxE) interactions were also found significant and the mean squares due to environment were highly significant indicating sufficient diversity among the environments. Eleven lines from two crossing from OM1490/ Pokkali and OMCS 2000/ Pokkali Among the lines, performed better by chalkiness highly in all the locations both satbility at Dong Xuan and HeThu seasones. This varieties is good for multilication in the future
