SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY WITH AN GIANG RICE CROPS IN THE PERIOD 1986-2020

Abstract
Thirty-five years on, rice production has faced many challenges including: (i) serious destruction by insects/pests is on the rise along with indiscriminate use of pesticides; (ii) the burden on increased productivity, and the use of high-dose fertilizers; (iii) the expansion of production in the land affected by frequent flooding and drought. The combination of many methods based on recent advances in genomic research has been developed to cope with the above trials and to increase the quality of rice for export. In order to increase rice production and quality, the urgent need is that new rice varieties need to be resistant to a variety of pests and disadvantages, high nutritional content, to save water and can help reduce the amount of pesticides and fertilizers used. Many significant efforts have been made, concentrated on the study of genetic material sources to discover genes resistant to pests and diseases, increase the effectiveness of N and P use, good particle qualities, and for high yields. Therefore, the most feasible approach is to purify the source of genetic material and mutations in the gene bank, detect and identify genes, analyze many different genes under different stress conditions.
General objectives: rice production not only sets goals in terms of output but also needs to income attention to improving quality, adapting to different environmental conditions to ensure livelihoods for farmers of An Giang province. Vietnam. More details
