The purpose of the project is to choose to create and develop a set of rice varieties with high productivity, quality of export standards, withstanding some key pests serving the export target in the Mekong Delta. The work "Research on rice breeding for the Mekong Delta" aims to introduce and at the same time apply new assessment methods with the advantages of fast and convenient thanks to molecular techniques, as the basis for the development of rice varieties resistant to drought, Salty, high-quality meets the actual demand for production in the highlands and ensures food security with the growing population development. The work is successfully applied molecular biotechnology: the technology of selecting the breed of traffic through molecular directive (MAB); protein electrostatic technology (SDS - PAGE), to create salt-drought-resistant rice varieties; productive, quality, pest resistance is suitable for rice at the Mekong Delta, Vietnam
