Rice is one of the most important crops in VietNam and its production represents a significant part of the strategy to overcome food shortage and improve self-sufficiency for local consumption and export. Hight Agricultural Technology Research for Mekong (HATRI) has built the program choose to create varieties of rice exports in cooperation with Sun Rice. From the establishment of export rice project and choose create pure good quality rice varieties adapted to the conditions of rice cultivation in the Mekong River Delta. Varieties of rice for export are grown and evaluated in the field in the MEKONG DELTA and was rated the quality of rice in Australia and Singpore Thai land.
