Selected candidate will work under USDA-NIFA and NRCS funded projects and use the application of X-ray computed tomography (CT) for analyzing soil pore parameters, techniques for studying microbial diversity, and process-based models such as HYDRUS, SWAT, APEX, DSSAT or DAYCENT for simulating management impacts at field and regional scales.
Selected candidates will have opportunity to collaborate with the highly expert modeling team in different universities, and if required, candidates will be encouraged to attend short modeling training/workshops provided by model professionals. Candidate will be encouraged to attend (at least one per year) professional meetings/workshops, and/or any other relevant meetings to present their research. Candidate will have the opportunity to develop their own research ideas within the project goals. Salary will be based on experience.
